Across West Sussex during this year’s Dementia Action Week there are several events to choose from for people to attend. The week that runs from Monday 13th to Sunday 19th May, gives the opportunity for people to attend and meet up with representatives from Alzheimer’s Society together with a number of partner organisations. This year’s theme is very much around diagnosis and encouraging individuals and their families to seek a timely diagnosis to try and avoid reaching crisis point.
If you want to find out more about dementia, whether that be for yourself or someone you know, pop in to one (or more) of the events set up to mark Dementia Action Week. There will be someone friendly there to answer any questions you have. There is no need to book to attend, just turn up when you can.
Complete the symptoms checklist
The Alzheimer’s Society have put together a checklist if you’re worried about yourself or someone close to you. Complete the symptoms checklist and show it to a GP or health professional. You can fill in the checklist online or print it out and complete offline.
